Trekking to the Tiger's Nest, Paro

Climb the sacred mountain of Chomolhari, the highest in Bhutan at the border with Tibet, till the Tiger's nest, a stone monastery. It's a 4-hour climb, where you can enjoy loneliness - trekkers are remote, as the country restricts tourism, and 70% of its surface is actually untouched nature. You'll hike along rice farms, meadows and forests, where the snow leopard is claimed to rule. At 3000 ft above the Paro valley, you'll find the monastery built in 747 AD by a Tibetan missionary.
